A Legacy of Unity, Strength, and Purpose: My Farewell Address
The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) is pleased to announce that Kimberley Atheba will be joining the Secretariat as Assistant Programme Manager, and Isabella Liebich will be joining the Secretariat as an intern, effective July 1st, 2025.
Based in Brussels, Kimberley brings a dynamic and diverse background in European public policy, international relations, and project coordination. She will contribute to the team’s core activities, with responsibilities including program coordination, project and partnership management, and administrative and governance support.
Before joining IIAS, Kimberley worked in various high-level institutions, including the Brussels Parliament, the European Migration Network (EMN Belgium), and KU Leuven, where she served as Programme Coordinator and Teaching Assistant for the Master’s programmes in European Public Policy and e-Governance. Her experience also includes roles at Egon Zehnder Associates, the Belgian Immigration Office, and the Belgian Federal Parliament.
A trilingual professional (French, English, Dutch) with additional skills in German and a strong command of digital tools, Kimberley holds a Master of Advanced Studies in European Policies and Public Administration from KU Leuven and a second Master’s degree in International Relations from UCLouvain, both awarded with honors.Isabella is currently pursuing her studies at the University of St. Gallen, with a focus on international law. Her academic path is complemented by diverse internship experiences across the private and non-profit sectors, including roles in sales at a startup, marketing at a multinational corporation, and impact evaluation at a non-governmental organization.These experiences have shaped her strong interest in the forces shaping interactions between major entities such as businesses and governments. Originally from Switzerland, Isabella brings curiosity, enthusiasm, and a global outlook to her work.
With their strong sense of initiative, international outlooks, and passion for public governance, Kimberley and Isabella will be valuable assets to the Secretariat as IIAS continues to grow its global network and fulfill our mission of improving public governance research, education, and practice.

The International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) informs all interested participants that the extended deadline for submitting abstracts or panel proposals is rapidly approaching. Submissions for the IASIA 2025 Conference will be accepted only until June 30, 2025.
